EuroGPSR was born out of a frustration we know well: EU compliance regulations are serious, the deadlines are real, but the guidance available to small ecommerce businesses is either impenetrable legalese or expensive consultant hours. We built the tool we wished existed.
The problem

European Accessibility Act (EAA)
Enforcement: 28 June 2025
Any online store selling to EU consumers must meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Non-compliance exposes operators to complaints, injunctions, and fines. Small businesses with fewer than 10 employees and €2M annual turnover are exempt — but most growing stores are not.
General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)
In force: 13 December 2024
EU Regulation 2023/988 requires product listings to display manufacturer information, product identifiers, safety details, and more. It applies to all products sold in the EU — regardless of where the seller is based. Missing information is a direct violation.

We are explicit about what we are not
EuroGPSR is an audit tool, not a legal compliance certificate. A passing score is a strong signal — not a guarantee. We say this on every scan result, in our terms, and here. If you need legally binding assurance, hire a qualified professional. We will tell you that plainly.
Clarity over completeness theatre
Static HTML scanning has real limits. JavaScript-rendered content, color contrast, and keyboard navigation require deeper tooling. Rather than pretend otherwise, we publish exactly what we check — and what we do not. Version 1 is honest about being version 1.
We practice what we preach
EuroGPSR is scanned against its own audit engine. We maintain the legal pages, accessibility standards, and GPSR signals that we check in other stores. If we fail our own test, we fix it before telling others to.
Regulations change — so do we
EU law evolves. WCAG moves to 2.2. GPSR implementing acts get published. We maintain an active process for monitoring regulatory updates and reflecting them in the scanner. Our checks are versioned and timestamped so you always know what standard a scan was run against.
